Guide to measuring the staircase

In order to make as accurate price offer to your staircase as possible, we need the measurements of the staircase. Here are some instructions on how to get the more accurate result and what to measure.

  • Measure the height of the room from the floor of the lower story to the floor of the upper story.
  • In order to design a staircase, one needs to know the height of the room as well as the thickness of the intermediate ceiling.
  • Consider that the width of the stair cannot be wider than the width of the stairway.
  • Based on the length of the stairway and the height of the room the staircase manufacturer determines the length of the staircase so that there is enough room for clearance.
  • The clearance is the measurement from the top of the step to the ceiling of the lower story.
  • Give the measurements in millimetres, please.
