When ordering windows from Aru Grupp, whether for a new or renovated building, a question often arises: how to resolve the external window flashings, also known as drip edges or water sills?

There are two options:

1. Order the sills/flashings together with the windows from our company.

2. Take care of the procurement and installation of the sills yourself or with your builder.

Why order sills together with windows?

If the layers of the building’s facade and the final wall thickness are known when ordering the windows, it is sensible to order the sills immediately with the windows. This allows you to:

• Coordinate the full window solution during installation.

• If necessary, harmonize the joint drawings to avoid later measurement or solution problems on site.

Types and materials of window sills/drip edges

• Aluminum profiles with special end caps; finish options include powder coating in RAL tones or an anodized coating.

• Profiled steel sheeting, finished in RR color chart tones.
